Repairing accident damage through the customer's insurer: the shop prepares the estimate, receives the insurer's assessor (perito), agrees the scope with them and repairs the vehicle once approved, so the customer deals with the paperwork as little as possible. Which insurers the shop is approved by, and whether the excess is charged, differ from shop to shop.
