Engine oil and oil filter replacement, plus a fluid level and leak check.
9 shopsPre-purchase inspection
Independent inspection of a used car before you buy it, with a written report on condition and known faults.
1 shopSuspension repair
Replacing shock absorbers, springs, bushings, ball joints, wheel bearings and other worn suspension parts.
8 shopsTiming belt or chain replacement
Replacing the engine's timing drive before it fails: a timing belt with its tensioner and idlers, usually together with the water pump, or a stretched timing chain with its guides and tensioner. The id keeps its historical name; the job covers both.
3 shopsTow hitch installation
Fitting a tow hitch (bar) to a car for towing a trailer or caravan.
2 shopsTransmission repair
Repairing manual or automatic transmission faults, including gear selection, fluid leaks and internal wear.
4 shopsTurbocharger repair

1 shopITV appointment handling
Booking the ITV slot and taking the vehicle through the inspection for you, paperwork included.
3 shopsPre-ITV check
Checking the vehicle against the ITV test items — lights, brakes, emissions, tyres, play — and fixing what would fail.
6 shopsADAS camera & radar calibration
Re-aligning the cameras and radars behind a car's driver-assistance systems — lane keeping, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise, traffic-sign recognition — so they aim where the car is actually heading. Needed after a windscreen replacement, a wheel alignment, a bumper or suspension repair, or when a warning light appears; done with target boards and a diagnostic scanner. Not the tachograph check on trucks.
1 shopAdBlue system repair
Fixing the urea injection system on diesel cars — the AdBlue tank heater and level sensor, pump, injector and NOx sensors — when the dashboard counts down to a no-start or the emissions light comes on. Includes crystallised-urea cleaning and clearing the fault once the part is replaced. Particulate-filter work is listed under exhaust repair, and the EGR valve as its own service.
1 shopEngine air filter replacement
Replacing the engine's intake air filter, which keeps dust out of the engine; a clogged one costs power and fuel. Usually due every service or two, and quick to do on its own.
1 shopAirbag module crash data reset
Getting the airbag system working again after a collision. The airbag control unit stores crash data and locks itself, so the SRS light stays on even after the deployed airbags and seat-belt pretensioners have been replaced. The shop reads the module, clears the stored crash data or repairs the unit and confirms the system arms again — far cheaper than a new module. A lit airbag light fails the ITV.
1 shopCooling system repair
Finding and fixing why an engine overheats or keeps losing coolant. The system is pressure-tested to locate the leak, then whatever is at fault is replaced: a hose, the radiator, the expansion tank, the thermostat, the cooling fan or the water pump. Draining and refilling the coolant on schedule is a separate, routine job, and a water pump changed as part of a timing belt kit belongs with that job instead.
3 shopsEngine rebuild
A full overhaul of a worn or damaged car engine: the engine comes out and is stripped, the cylinders are rebored or honed, pistons, rings, main and big-end bearings and every gasket are renewed, the crankshaft is reground and the cylinder head reconditioned where needed, then it is reassembled and run in. For an engine that burns oil, has lost compression or has seized; smaller fixes on an engine left in the car are listed separately as engine repair.
1 shopBrake fluid change
Draining the old brake fluid, refilling with fresh DOT fluid of the correct grade and bleeding every wheel so the pedal or lever feels firm again. Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, so manufacturers ask for a change every two years or so; pads and discs are listed separately.
1 shopCabin filter replacement
Replacing the pollen or cabin air filter that cleans the air blown into the car — usually behind the glovebox — when the fan is weak, the windows mist up or the vents smell. A quick job on its own; it is also part of an air-conditioning service.
1 shopFuel filter replacement
Replacing the filter that stops dirt and water in the fuel reaching the injectors — most important on diesels, where a blocked or wet filter causes hard starting, stalling or loss of power. The system is bled of air afterwards.
1 shopHomologation of imports and modifications
Getting a vehicle brought in from abroad, or a modification made to one, legally approved in Spain: the work needed to pass inspection, the engineer's report where one is required, and the paperwork that puts the change on the ficha tecnica.
2 shopsHybrid and electric vehicle repair
Servicing and repairing the high-voltage side of hybrid and battery-electric cars by a technician certified to work on it: traction battery cell or module replacement, inverter and charger faults, DC-DC converter, high-voltage cabling and the 12 V side that keeps the car awake. A battery health (SoH) report on its own, and routine jobs such as brakes and tyres, are listed separately.
1 shopCar key programming
Cutting and programming a new transponder or remote key so the car's immobiliser accepts it — a spare, a replacement for a lost or broken key, or a remote whose buttons no longer work. Done with the car present; cheaper than a dealer key and available without the original.
2 shopsControl module coding
Teaching the car to accept a new or replacement control unit — engine ECU, gearbox unit, ABS/ESP module, airbag unit, comfort module or instrument cluster — so the car recognises it and everything works, and switching software-controlled features on or off (retrofitted parking sensors, lighting behaviour, a different key). Modern cars tie every module to the specific vehicle, so a swapped part does nothing until it is coded. This is not a performance remap: nothing about how the engine runs changes.
1 shopMotorhome and camper van repair
Servicing and repairing motorhomes and camper vans in a bay tall and long enough to take them: engine and chassis work on the base vehicle, plus bodywork and painting of the coachbuilt body where the shop has a booth large enough. Habitation fittings such as gas, water and 12 V systems are included only where the shop says so.
1 shopHandbrake and electric parking brake repair
Restoring a parking brake that no longer holds or will not release: on a lever handbrake, adjusting or replacing the cables, shoes and the lever mechanism; on an electric parking brake (EPB), diagnosing the button, the actuator motors on the rear calipers or the control module, and recalibrating the system with a diagnostic tool afterwards. A parking brake that fails the test fails the ITV.
1 shopStage 1 engine tuning
The first, software-only level of performance tuning on a turbocharged car: the engine control unit is reprogrammed — boost pressure, fuel injection, ignition timing, torque limits — to give more power and torque with every mechanical part left standard. The car needs no new hardware and can usually be returned to the original software.
1 shopWiper blade replacement
Fitting new front or rear wiper blades when the old ones smear, judder or leave streaks, and topping up the washer fluid. A few minutes' job, usually done while you wait; a wiper motor or linkage that has stopped working is an electrical repair.
1 shop
Tyres & wheels
Alloy wheel restoration
Straightening bent alloy wheels and repairing kerb damage or cracks to restore the rim's structure.
2 shopsWheel balancing
Balancing the wheels to remove vibration at speed.
4 shopsTyre fitting
Removing old tyres and fitting new ones, including new valves and disposal of the old tyres.
5 shopsPuncture repair
Repairing a punctured tyre from the inside where the damage allows it.
3 shopsWheel alignment
Measuring the steering and suspension angles (toe, camber, caster) on a computerised alignment bench and adjusting them to the manufacturer settings so the car tracks straight, steers evenly and the tyres wear evenly. Recommended after new tyres, suspension work or a kerb strike.
2 shops
Car wash & cleaning
Engine bay cleaning
Degreasing and rinsing the engine bay with wastewater containment to keep electrics safe.
1 shopHand wash
Washing the exterior by hand with shampoo, wheels and door shuts included, for a gentler finish than a tunnel.
1 shopFull valet
A complete wash package covering the full exterior wash and full interior clean in one visit.
2 shopsUpholstery deep clean
Deep-cleaning fabric or leather-alternative upholstery and carpets to lift stains, pet hair and ground-in dirt.
2 shopsWax protection
Applying a coat of wax to clean paintwork by hand or machine, then buffing it off. It adds gloss, makes water bead and roll off, and keeps dirt from sticking for a few weeks to a few months — a lighter, cheaper protection than a ceramic coating. Usually added on after a wash.
1 shop
Bodywork, paint & glass
Classic car and motorcycle restoration
Bringing a classic or vintage vehicle back to original or better condition: stripping and repairing rusted panels, repainting in the period colour, refurbishing interior trim and, where the shop offers it, rebuilding the mechanical side. Long, quoted projects rather than a single repair.
3 shopsDent repair
Repairing dents and creases, including paintless dent removal where the paint is intact.
5 shopsHeadlight polishing & restoration
Machine polishing to clear yellowed or oxidised headlight lenses and restore brightness.
3 shopsInsurance claim repair
Repairing accident damage through the customer's insurer: the shop prepares the estimate, receives the insurer's assessor (perito), agrees the scope with them and repairs the vehicle once approved, so the customer deals with the paperwork as little as possible. Which insurers the shop is approved by, and whether the excess is charged, differ from shop to shop.
3 shopsPanel painting
Preparing and spraying a panel with a colour-matched finish, including blending into adjacent panels.
7 shopsPolishing and paint correction
Machine polishing to remove swirl marks and light scratches, with a protective finish.
