Cleaning or replacing a car's EGR valve — the valve that feeds some exhaust gas back into the engine to cut emissions — and its cooler and sensors, when it sticks with soot and the engine loses power, smokes, idles roughly or lights the engine warning lamp. Includes clearing the fault and a test drive. Cleaning the whole engine with a machine, and removing the EGR altogether, are separate services.
