Taking in a car or motorcycle that is no longer worth keeping at an authorised treatment centre (CATV): the vehicle is decontaminated and recycled, the centre issues the free certificate of destruction and files the permanent deregistration (baja definitiva) with the DGT for you — the paper you then show to cancel the road tax and the insurance. Often includes collecting the vehicle by tow truck.
