Self-service tyre air

An air point, usually at a service station or car wash, where drivers check and top up their own tyre pressure with a gauge on the hose. It is often free or costs a few cents; no staff do the work. Having the pressure checked by a mechanic, or filling with nitrogen, is a separate service.
